Port Waste  
   

The Port of Belfast is committed to ensuring that waste is managed in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner, and that Port Users are aware of their legal obligations.

In 2003 new legislation was introduced which made several significant changes to how vessels using UK ports manage and dispose of their waste. These changes include the requirement that vessels provide Port Operations with prior notification of their onboard waste and what they plan to discharge in port.
