Leonard J. P. O'Hagan [Chairman]
Len O'Hagan was appointed Chairman of the Board in December 2006.
He is Chairman of all Sub Committees of the Board except those where
a Board Member has been appointed to Chair the Committee.
Len has held senior positions in a number of international public
companies. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of Fitzwilton
Plc, was Managing Director in the Jefferson Smurfit Group and was
formerly Chairman of Safeway Ireland. In addition, he holds a non-executive
directorship with Independent News & Media [NI] Ltd. Len is
Chairman of OHC Corporate Advisors Ltd, a business consultancy company,
and Chairman of Rockingham.
Roy Adair [Chief Executive Officer]
Roy Adair was appointed Chief Executive Officer in October 2005.
Previously, Roy was the Port of Belfast's Operations Director. He
has also held positions as Managing Director/Owner of Irlandus Circuits
Ltd based in Craigavon; Group MD of Smtek Europe Ltd, a subsidiary
of a NASDAQ listed US Electronics Company, and Chief Executive of
the Northern Ireland Quality Centre. Roy is a past Chair of the
Institute of Director's [IoD] Economic Strategy Group and a past
Director of the Laganside Corporation. In 2007 Roy was awarded the
accolade of becoming HRH Prince of Wales' Ambassador for Corporate
Social Responsibility. In addition, Mr Adair is a board Member of
the UK Major Ports Group Ltd and a Board Member of Business in the
Community.
Councillor David Browne
Councillor David Browne is an elected member of Belfast City Council.
He was appointed to the Board in July 2005. In addition to being
the former High Sheriff of Belfast, Councillor Browne is a member
of several Belfast City Council Committees and Chairman of Grove
Housing Association. During 2007 David was a member of the Corporate
Governance & Audit Committee and the Security Committee.
Ronnie Foreman
Ronnie Foreman was appointed to the Board in January 2005. He is
Chairman of the Aervent Group, Chairman of FIN Engineering Group
and Chairman of Aspire Publishing. A Director of Fluor Ltd, Ronnie
is also self-employed as a Business Development Consultant. Ronnie
was formerly Chairman of the Statistics Advisory Committee and owner
of Alpha Controls Ltd. During 2007 Ronnie was a member of the Commercial
Committee, the Safety & Environmental Committee and the Security
Committee.
Mary McMahon
Mary McMahon is a self-employed social policy researcher. She is
a member of a number of voluntary community organisations concerned
with social justice, poverty, marginalisation and exclusion. During
2007 Mary was a member of the Safety & Environmental Committee
and the Corporate Governance & Audit Committee.
Steve Pollard
Steve Pollard's interests lie in community economic regeneration
and his is actively engaged in a number of initiatives in this field.
Steve is a self-employed Consultant and is also Regional Director
Ireland for Protocol Skills Ltd. During 2007, Steve was a member
of the Corporate Governance & Audit Committee and the Property
Committee.
Ross Reed OBE
Ross Reed is a Chartered Accountant by profession with a background
in freight transport, warehousing and distribution. He is Chairman
and Managing Director of Interfrigo Ltd and Managing Director of
both Antrim Warehousing & Distribution Services Ltd and Greentrac
Ltd. During 2007, Ross was Chairman of the Board of Belfast Harbour
Pension Fund Ltd, and a member of the Remuneration Committee and
the Corporate Governance & Audit Committee.
Councillor David Rodway
Councillor David Rodway is an elected member of Belfast City Council.
Councillor Rodway, an Aquaculture Consultant by profession, was
appointed to the Board of Belfast Harbour Commissioners in 2007.
During 2007, Councillor Rodway was a member of the Safety &
Environment Committee. In addition to being a member of a number
of Belfast City Council Committees, Councillor Rodway is also a
Board member of the Belfast Education & Library Board [BELB].
David Russell
David Russell is currently Non-Executive Chairman of the Eastern
Health and Social Services Board and the Portaferry Lifeboat Group
(RNLI). During 2007, David was Chairman of the Property Committee
and a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Commercial Committee.
Peter Dixon
Peter Dixon was appointed to the Board in 2008. With a career spent
within the Gas Industry, Peter is currently Chief Executive Officer
of Phoenix Gas. He is also Chairman of the Irish Section of IGEM.
Peter holds a number of Board positions within the Holding Group.
He is also Chairman of the Energy for Children Charitable Trust,
a Board Member of Business in the Community and Chairman of Arena
Network. Peter is a member of Corporate Governance & Audit Committee
and the Commercial Projects Committee.
Dr Trefor Campbell CBE
Dr Trefor Campbell was appointed to the Board in 2008. Trefor is
currently Non Executive Chairman of Moy Park Ltd. He holds a number
of executive roles across several organisations including Patron
and N.I. Council Member of the Prince's Trust, Director of the British
Poultry Council, and Chairman of the NIFDA Educational Trust Fund.
In addition, he is a Director of NIFDA and Companion of the Chartered
Management Institute. Trefor is a member of the Corporate Governance
& Audit Committee, the Property Committee and the Belfast Harbour
Pension Fund Ltd.
Noel Brady
Noel Brady was appointed to the Board in 2008. Noel previously
held key positions with CFM, ICL and Sx3 at senior management level
and possesses over 30 years experience gained within the public
and private sectors. Noel is Managing Director of Consult Nb1 Limited,
a business Development Consultancy which he founded in 2004. He
is an Honorary Fellow and Chairman of the Sales Institute of Ireland,
Northern Branch. He is a Non-Executive Director with DVA and Novosco
and a member of Northern Ireland Energy Holdings Ltd. Noel is a
member of the Corporate Governance & Audit Committee and the
Commercial Projects Committee.
Peter Curistan
Peter Curistan was appointed to the Board in 2008. A chartered
accountant by profession, Peter is Chairman of Sheridan Group, which
he founded in 1989. The Group, which is specialised in mixed-use
development with a particular emphasis on leisure and entertainment,
has property interests in Belfast, Dublin and Bournemouth. A former
IOD 'Entrepreneur of the Year', Peter is a visiting Professor at
the N.I. Centre for Entrepreneurship [NICENT] in the University
of Ulster and holds an honorary Doctorate from Queens University
Belfast, conferred for his contribution to the economic life of
Northern Ireland. He is a member of the Safety, Environmental and
Security Committee.
Councillor Patrick Convery
Councillor Patrick Convery is an elected member of Belfast City
Council. He was appointed to the Board of Belfast Harbour Commissioners
in July 2008. Councillor Convery is a member of numerous Council
Committees including the Strategic Policy & Resources and the
Development Committee. He is a member of Belfast District Policing
Partnership, North Belfast Partnership Board and a Board member
of the Belfast Education & Library Board [BELB].
In 2008, Councillor Convery is a member of the Property Committee
and the Belfast Harbour Pension Fund Ltd.
Councillor Danny Lavery
Councillor Danny Lavery is an elected member of Belfast City Council.
He was appointed to the Board of Belfast Harbour Commissioners in
July 2008. Councillor Lavery is a member of numerous Council Committees
including the Development Committee and the Strategic Policy &
Resources Committee. He is a member of the Titanic Quarter Working
Group, the North Belfast Partnership Board and a Board member of
the Belfast Education & Library Board [BELB].
Councillor Lavery is a member of the Safety, Environment and Security
Committee and the Corporate Governance and Audit Committee.
